Embarking on the Holy Family’s Path – A Journey of Faith (7 Days / 6 Nights)
Day 1: Cairo
Welcome to Cairo International Airport! As you arrive, our team is here to assist you through arrival formalities and then transfer you to your hotel. Check in and get comfortable. Enjoy dinner at your leisure and spend the night at your Cairo hotel.
Day 2: Cairo
After a breakfast at your hotel, we begin our spiritual journey by visiting the Church of the Virgin Mary in "Haret Zuweila," a sacred place dating back to the 10th century AD. Next, we head to Old Cairo to explore the Synagogue of Ben Ezra and the renowned Hanging Church, where the Holy Family found refuge. Our journey continues to the Church of St. Sergio and the Coptic Museum.
Lunch is on your own, and your guide can recommend some great options.
In the afternoon, we'll explore the Egypt's rich history with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to the magnificent treasures of Tutankhamun (please note that the Mummies room is not included and may require an additional ticket).
Return to your hotel, dine at your leisure, and spend another night in Cairo (B).
Day 3: Cairo
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before we take you to the Maadi district, where you'll visit the Saint Mary Church, a place the Holy Family passed through during their journey.
Our next destination is the Giza Plateau, where you'll witness the awe-inspiring Giza Pyramids, the enigmatic Sphinx, and the mystical Valley Temple of Kephren.
Lunch is on your own, and your guide can provide recommendations.
Return to your hotel for a peaceful evening. Dinner is at your leisure, and overnight in Cairo (B).
Day 4: Fayoum Oasis
Begin the day with an early breakfast at your hotel.
We'll set out for the Fayoum Oasis, making a stop to explore the Meidum pyramid, constructed during the 4th Dynasty.
Our journey continues to the Fayoum Oasis, where we'll visit the Monastery of the Archangel Gabriel, dating back to the 5th century. Enjoy lunch at a recommended restaurant.
During your visit to Fayoum, you'll also discover the picturesque Lake Qaroun, spanning 200 km2 and perfect for activities like fishing, duck shooting, rowing, and swimming. You'll also witness the ancient irrigation system with its iconic Water-wheels.
Return to Cairo for dinner on your own and spend the night at your hotel (B).
Day 5: Wadi El Natroun / Alexandria
Another day begins with an early breakfast at your Cairo hotel.
Today, we'll follow in the footsteps of Jesus and his family as we explore the renowned monasteries of Wadi Natroun, including the famous 'Anba Bishoy' Monastery, a significant project initiated by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III.
Lunch is on your own at a recommended spot.
After lunch, we'll journey through the desert road to Alexandria, the second-largest city in Egypt, founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC.
Arrive in Alexandria, check in to your hotel, and enjoy dinner on your own. Spend the night at your hotel in Alexandria (B).
Day 6: Alexandria / Cairo
Start the day with breakfast at your hotel in Alexandria.
In the morning, we'll explore the Greco-Roman Museum, the Amphitheater, and the iconic Pompey Pillar.
Visit Saint Mark's Cathedral, the historical seat of the Pope of Alexandria, head of the Coptic Orthodox Church since 60 AD.
Enjoy lunch at a first-class Egyptian restaurant in Alexandria, then return to Cairo for your final night in Egypt.
Day 7:
Breakfast at your Cairo hotel, then check out.
We'll assist you in transferring to Cairo International Airport, guiding you through airport departure formalities. Board your flight for your departure back to home.
